January 26, 2023by George Adjei0

Following a sold-out event the year before, the Africa Tech Summit’s organizers have announced that more than 1000 investors, industry titans, and other influential people will attend the February 2023 event.

The summit will take place in the Sarit Expo Centre in Nairobi, Kenya on February 15 and 16. It is promoted as the premier tech event aimed at fostering business relationships and fostering investment in Africa’s ICT sector.

The fifth edition of the Africa Tech Summit, according to director Andrew Fassnidge, will have a jam-packed schedule of events.

The conference brings together digital leaders and stakeholders once more, with the continent’s tech ecosystem expected to increase from an estimated $115 billion to $712 billion by 2050, according to a recent analysis by Endeavor Nigeria. Investors, corporations, mobile operators, fintech, decentralized finance (DeFi), and cryptocurrency enterprises, as well as start-ups, developers, regulators, and policymakers who conduct business throughout the continent are included in this group.

The Africa Money and DeFi Meeting, the Africa Startup Summit, and the Africa Mobile and App Summit are the three tracks that make up the 2023 flagship summit, bringing together tech leaders from all over the continent.

The Africa Money and DeFi Summit will continue to identify new prospects in FinTech, Web3, and DeFi as the fintech industry experiences 20% growth annually and is predicted by MasterCard to reach $40 billion by 2025.

The Africa Startup Summit, which brings together corporates, investors, and tech entrepreneurs, will highlight cutting-edge businesses while examining opportunities and issues facing the ecosystem. While doing so, the Africa Mobile and App Summit will examine cutting-edge tools and strategies for the continent’s mobile ecosystem and share knowledge on emerging mobile growth and trends in the continent.
